TIMING PULLEY STOCK
All our timing pulley stock is precision-machined in the United States at our own facility in Schaumburg. The benefit of this is that it allows us to stay in-the-loop at all parts of the process. We don’t use extrusions and nothing that is imported will find its way into your custom timing pulley stock. With everything being so close to home, we can also promise fast turnaround times that other providers simply cannot match.

FLANGES
Over the years Illinois Pulley & Gear has also become known for our innovative flanging process – one that allows us to better meet the needs of robotics industry clients on a daily basis. By leveraging one of a few different techniques, we can always meet the high stakes demands of robotics applications, no matter what.
One of those techniques that we use is roll skating. Here, flanges are attached to smaller timing pulleys in a precise way that allows them to be easily maintainable moving forward. Heat shrinking is another option, which is typically used to attach large, heavy flanges to timing pulleys. The material gets heated to 450 degrees, at which point it cools securely into place.
The robotics industry also makes use of bolt-on flanges on a regular basis because they’re one of the most durable options available. They are held in place to the sides of timing pulleys by flat head screws. In addition to offering exceptional durability, this also has the added benefit of being easy to maintain because the screws can be removed whenever you’d like. For this reason, a lot of robotics industry clients use bolt-on flanges for the purposes of prototyping and experimentation.
